HEEL PAIN

PLANTAR FASCIITIS / HEEL SPURS

  • Plantar faciitis is an acute form of inflammation of the band of tissue running across the bottom of your feet.

  • When the plantar fascia is stretched too far its soft tissue fibers become inflammed, resulting in chronic pain.

  • The inflammation may be aggravated by shoes that lack appropriate support and by ongoing irritation that sometimes accompanies an active lifestyle.

  • This may eventually lead to heel spurs and other severe conditions.
